A week of meals, and the list that follows

Fill the grid with what you plan to cook. The grocery list is derived from it — scaled to who is eating, netted against what is already in your pantry, and rounded up to real pack sizes. Nutrition and cost are computed from the same numbers, and anything the data cannot support is marked rather than guessed.

How the meal planner builds your grocery list

Fill a seven-day grid and the shopping list follows: totalled per ingredient, scaled to who is eating, netted against your pantry and priced in ringgit.

  1. Add who is eating, their portions, and what is in your pantry.
  2. Fill the seven-day grid with recipes, leftovers or meals out.
  3. Get an aisle-sorted grocery list with costs and nutrition totals.

Questions people ask

How do I make a grocery list from a meal plan?

Fill the grid with recipes and the list builds itself. Ingredients are totalled, scaled to who is eating, reduced by what is already in your pantry, rounded up to pack sizes and sorted by aisle. Leftover and eating-out meals add nothing.

How much does a week of groceries cost in Malaysia?

The planner estimates it in ringgit from built-in per-gram prices, multiplied by what you would actually buy after rounding to pack sizes. Every built-in price is marked as an estimate; enter your own price for an ingredient and the mark goes.

How do I plan portions for people who eat different amounts?

Give each eater a portion multiplier from 0.25 to 3. Multipliers are relative appetites: they share each meal's nutrition between the people eating it and scale what the list buys, rather than multiplying the dish per person.

Where does the nutrition information come from?

Each built-in ingredient carries kcal, protein, carbs, fat and fibre per 100 g or 100 ml. Ingredients without data are left out of the totals and named, never counted as zero. Daily targets use the Mifflin-St Jeor formula and are estimates, not medical advice.

Do I need an account to use the meal planner?

No. Plans, pantry, recipes and price overrides are saved in your browser. An optional email sign-in copies your own recipes and ingredients between devices; everything else stays on the device.

Can I share my grocery list?

Yes — copy it as text, save it as a receipt-style image, or make a link that lasts 30 days. A shared list leaves out which meals the items came from and who is eating.
